Seeds - Aji Pineapple

The Aji Pineapple is a Peruvian Capsicum baccatum variety known for its remarkable tropical sweetness and lively medium heat. Pods ripen from green to a vibrant bright yellow colour and typically grow to around 6 cm in length. This variety is highly regarded for its distinct pineapple-like flavour and aroma combined with a clean approachable heat level.

The flavour profile is sweet, fruity, tropical, and slightly tart, making it one of the more distinctive Aji varieties for fresh culinary use. Heat levels generally range between 15,000 and 30,000 Scoville Heat Units, delivering a pleasant medium burn comparable to a Serrano pepper.

Due to its strong fruity undertones, the Aji Pineapple is highly suited to fresh salsas, tropical hot sauces, fruit-based marinades, stir-fries, and dehydrating for chilli powders.
