The Bhut Jolokia Yellow is a vibrant super-hot Capsicum chinense variety and a yellow colour variant of the traditional Ghost Pepper. It produces elongated wrinkled pods that ripen from green to bright yellow and retains the intense lingering heat and distinctive flavour profile that made the Bhut Jolokia world famous.

Like the original Ghost Pepper, the heat develops slowly before building into a deep long-lasting burn, typically ranging from 800,000 to 1,000,000+ Scoville Heat Units. The flavour is fruity, citrus-forward, slightly floral, and less earthy than the red Bhut Jolokia, making it highly valued for hot sauces and fresh superhot applications.

The Bhut Jolokia Yellow is widely used in tropical-style hot sauces, powders, salsas, marinades, and dehydrated chilli products where both bright flavour and extreme heat are desired.
