Seeds - Biquinho Iracema

The Biquinho Iracema is a small Brazilian Capsicum chinense variety known for its distinctive teardrop-shaped pods and exceptionally sweet fruity flavour. Similar to traditional Biquinho peppers, the pods ripen from green to bright red and feature the characteristic pointed “beak” shape that gives the variety its name, which translates to “little beak” in Portuguese.

Unlike most Capsicum chinense varieties, the Biquinho Iracema is very mild, offering a gentle warmth with strong sweet, fruity, and slightly smoky notes rather than intense heat. Its crisp texture and rich flavour make it highly popular for pickling, fresh eating, pizzas, salads, sauces, and gourmet cooking applications.

The variety is prized for its heavy yields, ornamental appearance, and excellent flavour without overwhelming heat, making it suitable for a wide range of culinary uses.
