Seeds - Khang Star Lemon Starburst

The Khang Starr Lemon StarrBurst, often shortened to KS Lemon StarrBurst or KSLS, is a highly sought-after Capsicum chinense hybrid developed around 2016 by chilli grower and YouTuber Khang Starr. Created from a cross between a MOA Scotch Bonnet and a Bahamian Goat pepper, the variety is celebrated for its unique flattened “UFO-like” pod shape, vibrant yellow colouring, and exceptional citrus flavour.

Pods ripen from light green to bright creamy-yellow and develop a distinctive saucer-like bonnet shape with lightly wrinkled skin sometimes with stingers. Heat levels commonly range between 150,000 and 400,000 Scoville Heat Units, delivering a strong stinging burn comparable to a hot Habanero or Scotch Bonnet.

The flavour profile is intensely sweet, juicy, tropical, and citrus-forward with crisp lemon-like brightness and minimal floral bitterness. Thick crunchy pod walls and high oil content make the KSLS especially prized for bright yellow hot sauces, fresh tropical salsas, powders, pickling, and flavour-focused chilli products.
