The WhyNot Chilli is an extraordinary ivory-coloured Capsicum chinense superhot hybrid created by breeder Space Chilli Peppers. Developed from a cross between Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion and 7 Pot White genetics, it is highly sought after for its massive pods, striking colour transition, and brutal heat.

Pods ripen from pale lime-green through creamy yellow tones before maturing into a stunning milky ivory-white colour. They are large, thick-walled, and heavily textured, often developing aggressive trailing stinger-like formations reminiscent of White Reaper and Moruga-style superhots.

Heat levels commonly exceed 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units, delivering an aggressive upfront burn saturated with intense capsaicin oil that rapidly attacks the mouth and throat.

Despite its savage heat, the flavour profile is notably sweet, floral, tropical, and fruity with a remarkably clean finish lacking the harsh bitterness sometimes found in darker superhot varieties.

As a relatively modern hybrid, the WhyNot remains somewhat genetically unstable, meaning minor variations in pod shape and phenotype can still occur between plants while generally retaining its distinctive pale ivory ripening sequence.
