The Yaki Blue, also known as Yaki Blue Fawn, is a visually striking Capsicum chinense superhot hybrid created by Italian breeder Enrico Lai of The Pepper Seeds from a cross between Faddas Blue and Bhutanese Bubblegum genetics.

The plants develop intense anthocyanin pigmentation with deep purple foliage, black stems, and violet flowers. Pods begin glossy dark blue-purple before ripening into dusty fawn-brown or deep red tones, often retaining dramatic purple streaking.

Heat levels commonly range between 600,000 and 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units, delivering a fast stinging burn with rich fruity, earthy, and slightly floral flavours without the bitterness common in many ornamental purple peppers.
